Chasing the Ghost of Karl Marx is a photographic and textual exploration of contemporary urban life in communist and formerly communist countries. The project seeks to examine how the socio-political influences of indigenous systems, international socialism and, in more recent decades, global capitalism combine to create the realities of daily urban life and culture in countries such as Vietnam, Laos, Mongolia and others.
